Got a specific stain? Our free Stain Removal Guide has safe, step-by-step methods for 40 stains and smells — including make-up and red wine on sofas.
A gentle, fabric-safe deep clean
Sofas take a daily battering — spills, pets, sun cream, kids and years of everyday use. We give your upholstery a proper professional clean that lifts what's worked its way deep into the fabric.
We use professional Prochem machines and Prochem cleaning solutions with the hot-water-extraction (steam) method. In simple terms, a warm cleaning solution is worked gently into the fabric to release dirt, then powerfully extracted back out along with the dirt and moisture — so your sofa is left clean and only lightly damp, not soaked.
Because upholstery fabrics vary so much, we always check the fabric first and choose the gentlest effective approach. It's the careful option, not a harsh one — fabric-safe and suitable for most sofas, armchairs and dining chairs.
Drying time: most upholstery is touch-dry within a few hours and fully dry within around 4–6 hours, depending on the fabric, the room and ventilation. We'll give you simple aftercare advice before we leave.
Ask about Scotchgard fabric protection too — applied after cleaning, it helps your upholstery resist future spills and stains so the fresh clean lasts longer. Is fabric protector worth it?

Upholstery & sofa cleaning — your questions
What types of upholstery do you clean?
Fabric sofas, corner and L-shape sofas, armchairs, pouffes and footstools, and fabric dining chairs. We always check the fabric first and choose the gentlest effective method. If you're unsure whether your piece is suitable, send us a photo or give us a call. Got a leather sofa? Here's how to clean a leather sofa at home.
Will the cleaning damage my sofa fabric?
No — our method is gentle and fabric-safe. We check the fabric before we start and adjust our approach accordingly, so your upholstery gets a thorough clean without being soaked or stressed.
How long does a sofa take to dry?
Most upholstery is touch-dry within a few hours and fully dry within around 4–6 hours, depending on the fabric, the room and ventilation. Good airflow helps it along.
Can you remove stains and smells?
We lift most everyday stains and odours — food and drink spills, pet smells, general grime — and customers are often amazed at the difference. Some older or set-in stains can be stubborn, so we'll always be honest about what we expect to achieve before we start. If you're not happy with the result, our satisfaction guarantee means we'll re-clean free.
What is Scotchgard and is it worth it?
Scotchgard is an optional fabric protector we apply after cleaning, at £5 per seat. It helps your upholstery resist future spills and stains, so your fresh clean lasts longer and the next spill is easier to wipe up. Plenty of customers add it to keep new-looking sofas that way.
How much will it cost?
Sofas are £20 per seat (2+ seats), with corner sections adding £10, armchairs at £30, pouffes at £10 and dining chairs at £10 each. Scotchgard is £5 per seat. A £50 minimum call-out applies.
