This explains what personal information Jay’s Cleaning collects when you contact us or request a quote, how we use it, and the rights you have. We keep it simple and honest — the same way we do everything else.

Who we are

Jay’s Cleaning is the trading name of Jay Horwood Cleaners Ltd, a family-run carpet, upholstery and floor cleaning business based in Watford and registered in England & Wales (company number 09113713), with our registered office at 40 Ashridge Drive, Watford, WD19 6TL. What we collect

We only collect what we need to quote for your job and carry it out. When you use our quote or contact form, that’s:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• Your email address (if you give it)
• Your postcode or area
• The details of your enquiry — the rooms, items or job you’d like quoted, and any message you send

If you tick the box to get a yearly reminder, we’ll also keep your details so we can remind you when your carpets are due another clean. That’s the only marketing we do, and only if you ask for it. We do not ask for card details, ID or any payment information through this website.

Why we use it — our lawful basis

• To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote — because you’ve asked us to, and it’s in our legitimate interest to run the business and respond to you.
• To arrange and carry out the work — to contact you, agree a time, and turn up.
• Yearly reminders — only if you’ve opted in, and you can tell us to stop at any time.

We never sell your details, and we don’t pass them to third-party marketing lists.

Who handles it for us

A few trusted services process your information on our behalf so we can run the site and reply to you:

• Web3Forms — delivers your form submission to our inbox.
• Google Workspace — our email ([email protected]).
• Cloudflare — hosts and delivers this website securely.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics — gives us anonymous, cookie-free visitor numbers so we can improve the site.
• Google & Featurable — power the live Google reviews shown on the site.

Cookies

We don’t set any tracking or advertising cookies. Our visitor statistics come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-friendly — no cookies, nothing stored on your device, and no tracking across other websites (which is why you won’t see a cookie pop-up here). Some embedded features, such as the live Google reviews, are loaded from third parties who may set their own cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry details only as long as we need them to deal with your job and for our own basic business records. Enquiries you send through the website are kept in secure storage and delete themselves automatically after 60 days unless you become a customer. If you opted in to yearly reminders, we keep your details until you ask us to remove you. Ask us to delete your information and we will.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to see the information we hold about you, correct anything that’s wrong, delete it, or stop using it for reminders. Just email [email protected] and we’ll sort it. If you’re ever unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
